内缝长度(跨高):双脚分开约6英寸(15厘米)站立,就像你骑自行车时那样。量一量从胯部到脚底的长度。 当使用这种方法时,最容易的方法是让别人和你一起测量。如果你是一个人,用一本精装书来帮助你测量:穿自行车鞋,靠墙笔直站立;跨坐书本,挺直腰板;用铅笔在书的书脊和墙壁的交汇处做个记号。 然后,你可以离开墙壁,测量标记到地板的长度。 为了准确,一定要多测量几次。  
理想的坐高:为了安全骑行,你的胯部和上管之间需要一些间隙(对于道路/通勤/砾石自行车,大约三指宽)。 对于公路自行车,建议的最小间隙是2英寸(5厘米)。  
对于山地车,你可以通过至少4-5英寸(10—12.5厘米)的间隙获得额外的空间。 这有助于避免受伤,如果你需要突然刹车或是离座跳车!  

首先需要确定坐高,如果是公路自行车,乘以你的内缝长度(跨高)0.67。 对于山地车,内缝乘以0.59。
